Updated: September 2026
I’ve spent many evenings exploring El Nido nightlife, from sunset cocktails by the beach to live music, rooftop bars, and late-night drinks in town. Unlike major party destinations, El Nido has a more laid-back, social island vibe, perfect for relaxing after a day of island hopping.
In this guide, I’ll share the real nightlife experience, the bars and areas I think are actually worth visiting, and where to stay for the most convenient access to nightlife. Whether you’re looking for cocktails, live music, dancing, or simply a cold beer by the sea, I’ll help you plan your perfect night in El Nido.

ToggleWhat Is El Nido Nightlife Really Like?

Unlike the mega-clubs of Boracay, El Nido’s nightlife is more laid-back, social, and beach-focused, filled with bohemian energy.
After a day of island hopping, you can start your evening with a cold beer or a craft cocktail while watching a breathtaking beachfront sunset.
As night falls, the energy shifts across diverse vibes. If you’re out for a drink, you can choose between beach bars with live bands or DJs, rustic spots for a game of pool, or lively beachfront venues where the music keeps going. Drinking is a common part of nightlife in El Nido: local beers like San Miguel cost around PHP 100–150, while a basic cocktail typically costs PHP 400–800 (prices may vary).
Beyond the bars, you can unwind with a relaxing massage, browse local art galleries, visit a tattoo studio, sing karaoke, squeeze into a photo booth, or enjoy shisha. Since most people are out on the boats during the day and usually only a few shops open then, the evening is actually the best time to wander and shop. If you need any essentials, remember that local supermarkets usually close around 8 PM, so it’s best to finish your shopping runs before dinner.
You might also catch a fire dancing show, sometimes at events like full moon parties rather than on a nightly schedule. Special DJ nights and other events are just as irregular, so check with your accommodation before heading out.
Most of El Nido’s nightlife is concentrated in town, especially along Hama Walking Street, making bar hopping easy on foot, while Corong-Corong offers a quieter alternative. For travellers yearning for a peaceful night away from the crowds, Nacpan Beach and Lio Beach are usually dark and quiet, perfect for a relaxing evening stroll and stargazing.
Dedicated nightclubs and all-night parties aren’t really El Nido’s style. Most venues wind down around midnight, although a few party spots stay open until 3 or 4 AM on busy nights and in peak season (November to April).
Not sure what to do in El Nido at night? Here’s a quick way to match El Nido bars and other night options to your mood:

| Watch the sunset with a cocktail | Piece of Sky, Panorama Beach Club, Henri’s El Nido, Sunmai (Nacpan) |
| Dance to a DJ | SAVA Beach Bar, Sandbreeze Restobar, The Pangolin Cocktail Bar |
| Dance with the locals | Amigos Bar |
| Hear a live band or guitar set | Hightides Bistro, Tribu Kuridas Bar & Tattoo |
| Sing karaoke | MABUHAY Sports Bar (private KTV rooms upstairs) |
| Play pool | MABUHAY Sports Bar, Hightides Bistro |
| Watch a game | MABUHAY Sports Bar |
| Chill by a rooftop pool | Oz Pooltop Bar |
| Try craft beer | Odessa Mama Cafe and Boodmo Brewery |
| Grab skewers and sake | The Yakitori Bar |
| Meet other backpackers | Happiness Beach Bar, Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach |
| Skip the bars | A massage, art galleries, tattoo studios, photo booths or a night walk on Lio or Nacpan Beach |
| Eat after midnight | Mazabor, At Joe’s, Holy Smoke |
Rooftop & Sunset-to-Night Bars
Piece of Sky El Nido
Piece of Sky is the rooftop bar on the top floor of H Hotel, and when I visited, I was immediately impressed by its panoramic sea views and the spectacular sunset over El Nido Bay. It serves cocktails alongside seafood and Filipino dishes, with relaxing music and occasional live saxophone sets, usually in peak season. If you’re after an El Nido rooftop bar right in town, it’s an easy pick for sunset drinks after a day of island hopping. For the menu and more photos, see our Piece of Sky review and H Hotel El Nido review.

Panorama Beach Club
Panorama Boutique Hotel & Beach Club is located on Corong-Corong Beach. I absolutely loved my time at Panorama Beach Club, a laid-back oceanside spot with spectacular views over El Nido’s bay.
I came here to watch the sunset and ended up staying for dinner and drinks. The food was excellent, the cocktails were refreshing, and the relaxed music created the perfect atmosphere. DJs also play occasionally, adding to the lively yet relaxed vibe.
I also loved the small plunge pool, which was a great way to cool off during the day. Once the sun goes down, it gets dark enough here for some stargazing. For me, Panorama is an ideal place to spend a relaxing afternoon, watch the sunset, and enjoy the evening by the beach.

Henri’s El Nido
Henri’s is a hilltop fine-dining restaurant at Lihim Resort. It’s a short drive from El Nido Town, with a resort shuttle available from the main gate.
The restaurant is known for its fine-dining experience, stunning sunset views, and a romantic indoor dining atmosphere once night falls. The drinks list features plenty of wines and cocktails, while the premium cuts of meat, lamb chops and seafood dishes are must-tries.
Henri’s is popular and can get crowded during the evening. I arrived early and managed to get a table on the rooftop Sky Deck, where I enjoyed a spectacular sunset overlooking the bay.
With great food, creative cocktails, relaxing music, and an unforgettable panoramic view, I can definitely see why Henri’s is considered one of the best sunset spots in El Nido.
Pro-tip: Reservations are required and a deposit is needed to hold your table; ask about the resort shuttle from the main gate when you book.

Sunmai Beach Bar and Restaurant
Sunmai Beach Bar and Restaurant is located in the heart of Nacpan Beach and is operated by H Hospitality Group.
I loved its laid-back island atmosphere and the chance to dine just steps from the sea. The menu offers fresh seafood, Filipino favourites, pasta, and pizza, while the bar serves refreshing cocktails and other drinks.
The restaurant opens at 7 AM, making it a great spot to enjoy breakfast, sunset dinner, cocktails, or a private beachside dining experience.
I stayed into the evening, enjoying a romantic sunset dinner by the beach and watching the sky turn golden over Nacpan Beach. Sharing that beautiful moment with my boyfriend made the experience even more special.
Later that night, the sky was clear and filled with stars. We lay on the beach loungers, whispering to each other and simply enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of Nacpan. If you’re planning a full day there, our guide to things to do at Nacpan Beach covers the rest.

El Nido Beach Bars
Sandbreeze Restobar
Sandbreeze Restobar is located along El Nido’s beachfront, and I loved its relaxed seaside atmosphere.
The bar serves Filipino and international dishes crafted from fresh, local ingredients, all paired with refreshing cocktails and ice-cold beers. What made my visit especially memorable was the lively entertainment: the bar was filled with dazzling, colourful lights while a DJ kept the music going.
With the sea just steps away, Sandbreeze is a great place to enjoy good food and drinks while soaking up the laid-back side of El Nido nightlife.

SAVA Beach Bar
SAVA Beach Bar is also located along El Nido Beach. It’s a trendy and modern beachfront bar with a laid-back charm.
The bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, spirits, and beers, and its signature craft cocktail, the Passionfruit Daiquiri, is a must-try. Savoury bar bites like tapas, sandwiches, and pastas are also available to satisfy evening cravings, and there’s shisha too.
What I loved most about this place was the friendly staff and energetic atmosphere. The DJ kept the evening going with upbeat music, and I could have danced all night, completely immersing myself in the lively party vibe.
With its beachfront setting, craft drinks, and vibrant nightlife, SAVA is a great spot to unwind and experience El Nido after dark.

MABUHAY Sports Bar
Set in a two-level building right in front of El Nido Beach, MABUHAY Sports Bar offers great sea views and an energetic atmosphere.
As a sports bar, it regularly screens live sporting events, including football matches, making it the perfect spot to catch a game alongside fellow travellers while enjoying hot pizzas with cold beers, cocktails, and other refreshing drinks.
Aside from watching sports on TV, I also liked that the ground floor has a shared pool table, while the second floor offers private KTV rooms with dedicated pool tables, perfect for a more lively night out with friends.
If you are a sports lover, MABUHAY Sports Bar is a great place to cheer on your favourite team and enjoy a fun night in El Nido.

Hightides Bistro
Hightides Bistro is a beachfront bar and restaurant with a relaxed island vibe and beautiful views, especially around sunset. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with a loud live band fuelling the energetic ambience, making it a nice place to unwind and enjoy the evening.
The bistro offers a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, alongside casual international dishes. I tried both the food and drinks during my visit and would recommend the Hightides signature drinks, though the food fell a bit below my expectations. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the vibe, music, and pool games here.
There’s air conditioning, but don’t expect it to be very cold, and the band is loud enough that it’s not the place for a long chat. Overall, if you’re looking for a place to grab a cold drink, hang out with friends and play a serious game of pool, Hightides Bistro is a good pick; just come for the drinks rather than the food.

Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach
Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach is a beachfront hostel situated directly on Nacpan Beach, about a 45-minute drive from El Nido Town.
I stayed here for one night and enjoyed the on-site restaurant and bar, which serves everything from fresh seafood and pizza to Filipino dishes. What really stood out to me was the infectious social vibe: the staff are friendly and cheerful, and travellers come from all over the world, making it easy to meet new people.
The main drawbacks for me were that the dormitory rooms are only equipped with fans and lack air conditioning, and that island-hopping tours are more expensive when booked directly through the hostel.
DJ parties, games and events mostly happen in peak season and on holidays such as Easter and Christmas; on regular nights the music comes from the sound system and the bar is more low-key.
Overall, I think Mad Monkey is an ideal place for backpackers and social travellers who want to combine a beautiful beach escape with a fun and social nightlife experience. For more to do on this side of El Nido, see our Nacpan Beach guide.

Bars in El Nido Town
The Pangolin Cocktail Bar
I discovered this unique bar in El Nido Town. Located on the second and third floors of the building, it’s small but stylishly decorated. I enjoyed the creative cocktails, the great DJ, and the overall vibe.
What I loved most was the bar’s conservation story: its pangolin-inspired concept raises awareness and supports the protection of these endangered animals. It’s a unique spot for drinks, music, and a meaningful cause.

Oz Pooltop Bar
This little gem is hidden on the third floor of Oz El Nido. It’s a multi-layered spot: the ground floor is a tattoo shop, the second floor features an art gallery, and the third floor provides a cosy hangout for drinks and snacks.
I love the unique rooftop setting, where I can relax by the small pool, lounge on the grass, or stretch out on the netted relaxation area. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a casual evening in El Nido.

Amigos Bar
I visited Amigos Bar on the final day of my trip and found it to be one of the most local nightlife spots in town. Compared to many surrounding bars and beachfront restaurants, the prices here were noticeably more budget-friendly.
I enjoyed a cold beer while listening to Filipino pop songs and watching locals dance; this is very much a beer-and-dancing kind of place. The bar has no air conditioning, but the lively atmosphere makes up for it. With shisha, a live DJ and bands, Amigos is a fun place to experience the authentic local side of El Nido nightlife.

Tribu Kuridas Bar & Tattoo
Tribu Kuridas Bar & Tattoo is a quirky little bar with a rustic, driftwood-style setting, offering a unique combination of live guitar music, drinks, and tattoo services.
I loved the warm, friendly staff, refreshing cocktails, and high-energy party vibes. That said, this spot can get packed during late hours, so I highly recommend arriving early to secure a good table before the crowds roll in!

Happiness Beach Bar
Located beneath Happiness Hostel, Happiness Beach Bar sits one row back from the beach. True to its name, it offers warm and friendly service, a delicious Mediterranean menu with vegan options, and a colourful bohemian vibe, with hanging chairs around the indoor bar.
I came here with friends, and we tried a selection of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes; they were amazing, and the portions were generous! Overall, this is a fantastic place for anyone craving tasty food, welcoming energy, and plenty of choices for diverse dietary preferences.

The Yakitori Bar
I discovered this bar along Amboy Street in El Nido Town and loved its relaxed Japanese-style atmosphere. It’s an intimate space where the chefs grill skewers over charcoal right in front of you.
The menu focuses on charcoal-grilled kushiyaki and yakitori, including chicken, pork belly, leeks, and mushrooms. To pair with the food, the bar serves sake, shochu, vodka, Japanese whisky, Japanese beers and other drinks. For me, it’s a cosy spot for casual night meals and drinks.

El Nido Night Market: What Happened & What’s Left
During my earlier trips before 2026, El Nido’s night market was one of my favourite evening stops.
I loved wandering between the rows of stalls, sampling grilled seafood, skewers, and other Filipino street food like adobo (soy-vinegar braised meats) and kinilaw (citrusy raw fish ceviche). The market also featured vendors selling fresh fruit shakes and local desserts, providing a refreshing treat after a warm evening.
There was also a perya (Filipino fair-style game stalls) night market, set up in a different spot from the food stalls, with simple gambling games that added a fun, old-school carnival vibe to the night. It felt like the heart of local nightlife, buzzing with vendors, families, and travellers all mingling together after sunset. In its last location, the perya night market used to set up on an open lot next to the BPI bank branch in town, with stalls going up around 6 or 7 PM and the crowd building from about 8 to 10 PM. You’d sometimes bump into boat crews and captains fresh off the day’s island hopping.

Unfortunately, that perya-style night market, with its old-school carnival games, hasn’t reappeared since it relocated in 2026. I miss having that experience after a day on the water, and I’d love to see it return one day, perhaps in a new location with the same local character.
The good news is that not everything went with it. Street vendors and small food carts are still part of everyday life around town, so you can still pick up snacks and browse stalls selling clothing, accessories and handcrafted souvenirs made from wood, local shells and woven fabrics. The grilled-food night market used to be a regular thing too, but these days it mainly comes back around February, when El Nido’s founding anniversary turns the road by the municipal hall into a long grilled-food street. If you want to know what to order from the carts, our guide to Filipino street food and snacks is a good place to start.

Craft Beer & Local Drinks
During my travels in the Philippines, I found that drinking is often part of social gatherings, beach trips, and casual evenings with friends.
Craft Beer: Odessa Mama Cafe and Boodmo Brewery
I discovered Odessa Mama Cafe and Boodmo Brewery in the heart of El Nido Town, and it turned out to be one of the most unexpected dining experiences of my trip.
This Ukrainian restaurant serves authentic comfort food, including varenyky, deruny, and borshch. What makes it even more special is Boodmo Brewery, where their own craft beer is brewed on-site. I enjoyed pairing the refreshing beer with traditional Ukrainian dishes, making this a unique spot I would definitely recommend to food and beer lovers.

San Miguel Beer & San Mig Light
These are two classic local choices that I often see at bars and restaurants. They are not only affordable but are also often considered great pairings with Asian cuisine. Both are produced by San Miguel Brewery Inc., the largest beer producer in the Philippines and one of Southeast Asia’s oldest brewing institutions.

Lambanog
A traditional Filipino spirit distilled from coconut sap. Often referred to as Filipino coconut vodka, it is significantly stronger than beer, with an alcohol content that can reach around 40–45%. Some shops even sell it in attractive coconut-shaped bottles, making it a popular souvenir.
However, I would avoid unregulated homemade Lambanog sold by roadside vendors, as improperly distilled products have been associated with methanol poisoning. For me, exploring local drinking culture is part of experiencing the Philippines, but I always recommend drinking responsibly, choosing reputable sources, and knowing your limits.
Nightlife by Area: Town vs Corong-Corong vs Nacpan vs Lio
After reading through my bar recommendations above, you’re probably wondering: where should you stay in El Nido? Which area is right for El Nido nightlife, especially if you love partying, drinking, and dancing into the night?
Don’t worry! I’ve put together a comparison of four popular areas below, so you can easily choose the one that best matches your travel style! If you’re new to the town itself, our El Nido Town Proper guide covers the layout.
| Area | El Nido Town | Corong-Corong | Nacpan Beach | Lio Beach |

The area becomes peaceful after sunset. | A stylish resort area, but most restaurants and shops close by around 7–9 PM. With string lights in the trees along the beach, it’s lovely for a relaxing night walk and stargazing (bring insect repellent). |

Pro-Tip: Stay Steps from the Nightlife. If you want to walk home from the bars, stay in El Nido Town. H Hotel has Piece of Sky on its rooftop, so sunset drinks are right upstairs (code ENINSHH, 10% off). S Resort (15% off), Z Garden and J Boutique (10% off each) are also in town; see how to book El Nido hotels with promo codes for all the codes.
Prefer quiet nights and stars? Nacpan Beach Glamping is on the same beach as Sunmai (code ENINSNBG, 15% off).

Late-Night Food in El Nido Town
When the bars close and you’re hungry, these are the three spots I’d head to. For dinner earlier in the evening, see our guide to where to eat in El Nido.
Mazabor El Nido
Mazabor is a 24-hour local restaurant, and I stopped by late one night after a night out at a nearby bar. It offers a diverse menu of international and Filipino dishes, with a focus on authentic local favourites such as Beef Tagalog, Chicken Adobo, and Pork Sisig.
It’s a three-storey building, though seating is limited (not a problem in the middle of the night). While the space lacks air conditioning and the service can be inconsistent, I still think Mazabor is worth considering for affordable Filipino comfort food, especially when you’re looking for a late-night meal in El Nido.
Opening hours: 24 hours
Address: Corner of Hama St and Palata St, El Nido, 5313 Palawan

At Joe’s | Balkan Charcoal Grill
At Joe’s | Balkan Charcoal Grill is a popular late-night takeout spot known for its smoky charcoal-grilled chicken and massive hand-kneaded beef burgers. I tried the burger and found it delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced.
The menu covers beef and chicken burgers plus vegan options, making At Joe’s a convenient and satisfying choice for a late-night meal in El Nido.
Opening hours: Daily 20:00–04:00 (may close earlier in low season)
Address: Zone 3, C. Hama, El Nido, 5313 Palawan

Holy Smoke Mediterranean Food House
Holy Smoke Mediterranean Food House offers a variety of dishes including shawarma, kebabs, falafel, and mezze, all made with fresh ingredients and flavourful seasonings.
I loved its authentic flavours; the falafel wrap and shawarma bowl are both highly recommended. With relaxed decor and friendly staff, it’s a welcoming spot to enjoy a late-night meal.
If you enjoy shisha, the second floor has a cocktail bar and seating area that also serves shisha. Keep in mind that only the ground-floor wrap counter stays open into the early morning; the upstairs bar closes earlier.
Holy Smoke Mediterranean Food House
Opening hours: Ground-floor wrap counter open into the early morning (listed as 24 hours on Google); upstairs cocktail and shisha bar closes earlier

Getting Home: Tricycle Fares
Tricycles (motorised three-wheelers) are the most common way to get around El Nido Town. They don’t use meters; most have a fare matrix posted inside, but always agree on the price with the driver before you get in. Fares usually don’t change at night, but tricycles may be harder to find late at night outside the town centre or near secluded beach bars, so arrange your ride back in advance if you’re heading out of town.
Below, I’ve listed the typical fares for your reference:
| Route | Typical fare | Notes |
| Within El Nido Town (short hop) | PHP 50–100, one way | Short distances on Calle Rizal / Hama St |
| El Nido Town → Corong-Corong Beach | PHP 150, one way | About 15 mins on foot or 5–10 mins by tricycle |

FAQ
Yes, though El Nido nightlife is laid-back rather than clubby. Most of it is in El Nido Town, especially along Hama Walking Street, where you’ll find beachfront bars, cocktail lounges, live bands, DJs, karaoke, pool tables and late-night restaurants.
Most bars close around midnight to 1 AM, and a few party spots stay open until 3 or 4 AM, especially in peak season (November to April). Hours change, so check a venue’s latest hours before heading out.
Not really. There are no big nightclubs like on Boracay; instead, beach bars such as SAVA and Sandbreeze have DJs, local spots like Amigos get people dancing, and a few party bars stay open until 3 or 4 AM in peak season.
A bottle of San Miguel beer usually costs around PHP 100–150, and a basic cocktail around PHP 400–800 at most bars. Local spots like Amigos tend to be cheaper than beachfront venues. Prices may vary.
Generally, yes. El Nido is considered a safe and relaxed destination at night, and locals are usually welcoming to visitors. However, alcohol-related incidents can occasionally occur, so travellers should still exercise normal caution. Keep an eye on your valuables, and avoid walking alone down unlit, empty side streets or remote beaches late at night.
Backpackers typically gather around El Nido Town, especially along Hama Walking Street, where most of the bars are, and at social bars such as SAVA Beach Bar and Happiness Beach Bar (located beneath Happiness Hostel). For a social hostel crowd (with DJ parties mainly in peak season and on holidays), Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach is another option.
Not in its old form. The perya night market with its carnival games hasn’t returned since it relocated in 2026, but street vendors and small food carts are still around town. These days the grilled-food night market mainly comes back around February, when the town’s founding anniversary brings a long grilled-food street near the municipal hall.
Conclusion: Is El Nido Nightlife Worth It?
After exploring El Nido’s nightlife, I found that it beautifully balances rustic island charm with diverse after-dark energy. From sunset cocktails and beachfront bars to rooftop lounges, live music, DJs, pool tables, karaoke, shisha, massages, tattoos, and late-night food, there is something for every type of night owl, especially travellers who love to drink and socialise.
El Nido Town is the best base for bar hopping, while Corong-Corong, Nacpan, and Lio offer quieter alternatives for peaceful beach strolls or stargazing. The nightlife may not match Boracay’s mega-clubs, but that is exactly its charm.
Most nights stay relaxed and social, but the atmosphere can become much more energetic on special occasions. I experienced this especially around New Year’s Eve, when huge crowds gathered along a single street to count down, drink, dance, and party together.
So is it worth planning a night out? If you want sunset drinks, live bands, a game of pool and a couple of late nights on Hama Walking Street, El Nido delivers; if you’re after big clubs and all-night clubbing, Boracay is the better pick. For me, El Nido’s relaxed island atmosphere, friendly crowds, beautiful sunsets, and spontaneous late-night adventures make going out here a memorable part of the trip.
